Aberdonia and Paul have now retired from the charter business
Classic Yacht Charters offers the best way to see London; a cruise along the River Thames aboard the Dunkirk Little Ship M.Y. Aberdonia. Your journey through the heart of the city provides an endlessly fascinating panorama of historic buildings, Royal palaces and stunning bridges.
Our route takes you past the traditional historic sights of Big Ben and the Houses of Parliament, the Tower of London, Tower Bridge and Greenwich to the huge Thames Flood Barrier. Amidst the regeneration of many iconic landmarks rises a wealth of architecturally stunning new buildings.
Beyond the City of London
Coming out of the city the river takes you to Putney, Chiswick, Kew and Richmond, a gentler and greener journey. Aberdonia covers the tidal Thames and as far as Hampton Court Palace. This route is subject to tidal restrictions, please discuss with Paul before you make your plans.

Involvement in Dunkirk & Operation Dynamo - The Little Ships of Dunkirk
In 1940, when the British and Allied troops were being pushed out of Europe, a remarkable rescue was launched to evacuate the men massed on the French beaches at Dunkirk and La Panne. A flotilla of some 700 small craft was commandeered to cross the Channel as part of Operation Dynamo. Over a 10 day period, and under heavy fire and bombing, over 338,000 soldiers were returned to Britain aboard vessels of all shapes and sizes.
Aberdonia survived the evacuation, despite suffering damage and remained in service with the Royal Navy through to the end of World War Two. She is a proud reminder of the men who gave so much in service of their country.
